Why I disaffiliated from agitation?

The agitation that had started with the demand for right to organize gradually invited people of various interest. 

A group of eight people who were actively engaged in agitation agreed that the direction of the movement started derailing. 

Agitation in the University

Not many years had passed since I joined the University when a group of people raised question about the absence of democractic practice in the institution. Basic demand in the initial days was the right to form an organization.

College to university teaching

My journey from college teacher to university faculty started, but was unplanned!

Earlier when vacancy was announced by Kathmandu University, I had not applied mainly because my thesis writing to complete Masters degree was not complete and possibly I was satisfied with the money I was fetching the Valley. My colleague whom our family too had very close relation applied and got selected. The same colleague, after six months, enticed to join the University. My family, particularly my bhinaju-didi and buba-aama persuaded me to prioritize university teaching to handsome money that I was fetching. 

The first day of my joining happened to be a historical day, Magh 19! It was the day the then King Gyanendra took-over executive power, and suspended democracy.  

College teaching

"This opening suits you," my colleague showed an advertisement and added, "you will surely get this job." He was quite familiar with my engagement in teaching 5am to 7pm in the institutions in the Valley. Getting classes in such subsequent queue would not be possible having ability, he probably must have comprehended! 

As suggested, I applied. On the interview day, I could not sustain the level of determination that I had. The list of interviewee had established names! On top of that, my masters' degree was yet not complete. When I got call from the principal, it was a huge surprise!! 

I got opportunity to teach in an institution where Prof. Mohan Lohani, Prof. Padma Prasad Devkota and Prof. Baikuntha Poudel were English facultis. This journey continued for one and half year; the end of the journey actually ended when the same colleague wished that I joined Kathmandu University.

Some groups of Intermediate of Science (I.Sc) and two groups of Unergraduate were assigned to me.
